Small business owner for 25 years, real estate broker representing families and property owners, husband and father of four — Greg Windham for Mayor of Salado is the 2026 mayoral campaign built on real-world experience.
Greg Windham has called Central Texas home his entire adult life. After graduating from the University of Texas in 1992 with a degree in Political Science and Southwestern Literature, Greg understood that the communities he loved needed leaders who understood both how government works and how real economies function.
He began his career in real estate, earning his license and quickly building a reputation for straight-talking, results-oriented work. As a licensed broker representing families and property owners, he has spent 25 years helping people find their place in this region.
“I’ve spent 30 years watching this part of Texas grow. I know what works, what doesn’t, and what we have to protect if Salado is going to stay the place we all moved here for.”
Greg didn’t stop at real estate. He went on to found the Texas Hold ‘Em Dog Club, a community-focused dog boarding and care facility, and Expo RV Storage, a regional storage operation built around practical service. Both businesses remain active today — creating local jobs and serving the Central Texas community.
At home, Greg is a husband and father of four. His family’s roots run deep in this region, and that personal investment in Salado’s future is exactly why he’s running.
Greg’s campaign is built on a simple belief: Salado is growing whether we plan for it or not. His job as Mayor will be to make sure that growth strengthens — not dilutes — what makes this town extraordinary.
Every position Greg takes is grounded in one question: does this make Salado better for the people who live here, without raising their taxes or eroding what makes this place special?
Greg’s platform is rooted in the belief that the best government is the one that gets out of the way — but plans carefully for what comes next.
