Salado, Texas — Mayoral Campaign 2026
“Old Values. New Ideas.”
Salado is growing — with or without a plan. Greg Windham has spent 30 years building businesses, managing growth, and representing people’s interests across Central Texas. He knows what it takes to grow something the right way.
I’ve been a small business owner for 25 years, a real estate broker representing families and property owners, and a committed member of this community. I know what it takes to grow something the right way.
We can protect what makes Salado special and build a stronger future — with discipline, with respect for this community, and with a clear plan.
Work with TCEQ & Local governments to advocate against waste water permits allowing developers to dump treated water into the soul of our town.
Growth is coming whether we’re ready or not. Greg will ensure Salado has infrastructure, zoning, and development plans in place before demand exceeds capacity — not after.
Government should live within its means. Greg’s business background means he understands how to drive revenue through smart development — not by reaching deeper into residents’ pockets.
From youth sports to cultural festivals, Greg will pursue events and initiatives that bring visitors to Salado, fill local restaurants and shops, and build the town’s regional reputation.
Committed to preserving the charm of Salado while preparing for its future. Greg will ensure every growth decision strengthens — not erodes — what makes this community worth living in.
Greg Windham has deep roots in Central Texas. A University of Texas graduate (1992) in Political Science and Southwestern Literature, he built a career defined by accountability, integrity, and results.
